Washable nappy guide

Nappies explained

Washable nappies have changed a lot since the days of boiling, pins, plastic pants and terry squares. In fact, in many ways, they have been completely rethought and redesigned. A fantastic selection of styles and sizes are now available to suit not only your budget but also you and your baby’s individual preferences.

Modern washable nappy systems generally consist of a paper or fabric liner to catch the poo, a nappy and a waterproof outer liner.

Although many different designs are available, there are generally just three types of nappy:

flat nappy A. flat nappies

shaped nappy B. shaped nappies and

all in one nappy C. all-in-one nappies
