A Publicly Available Specification (PAS 106) has been prepared by the British Standards Institution in consultation with the Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP) and associated groups to provide a specification for the laundering of real nappies supplied to the NHS and private households/healthcare settings. The Nappy Network has a number of the Women’s Environmental Network Real Nappy display boards on loan across Brighton & Hove and East Sussex. The boards show a variety of different washable nappies. If you are interested in borrowing a board please contact us.
Midwives and health visitors are able to use the Nappy Network’s demonstration bags which contain a variety of washable nappies. If you are interested in using a demonstration bag please contact us.

Throughout East Sussex, our Parent Nappy Supporters are employed to attend antenatal sessions and other local events to offer information and advice to parents (and parents to be) about washable nappies. Real Nappy Week 2008 (21st to 27th April)
The Real Nappy Network joined with the national Real Nappy Campaign to promote this year's Real Nappy Week. This year's campaign focused on climate change impacts with the message "save energy with real nappies."

For the chance to win a range of fantastic prizes, the Real Nappy Network asked parents to send in your photos of their baby wearing their washable nappies. There were a range of prizes available. The closing date for entries was Friday 18th April 2008. The winners will be announced shortly.

Events
A member of the Real Nappy Network will be at the Baby & You Fair in Lewes each month with examples of washable nappies, starter packs and will be able to offer advice about using washable nappies. The Baby & You antenatal/postnatal fair will take place at the Eastgate Church Hall, Eastgate Street, Lewes, between 1pm-3pm on:
On Saturday 24th May a member of the Real Nappy Network will be at the Crowborough Baby Fair (10am to 3pm - All Saints Church Hall, Crowborough) with samples of washable nappies, starter packs and will be able to offer advice about using washable nappies.
