From 1st October 2008, the nappy loan scheme will be open to all parents in the East Sussex County Council area (sorry - not Brighton and Hove Council residents).
You can borrow a set of prefold nappies and covers for £40 (£20 of which will be refunded on return of the nappies). The loan packs provide you with all the nappies you need for your baby.
The nappies are freshly laundered in hospital standard washing machines by a local nappy laundry company. The prorap nappy covers provided in the packs are new.
A limited number of packs will be provided each month, so hurry to claim your pack now.
When you call about borrowing a loan pack, please state which size you require. They are available in two sizes - small (to fit a baby from 6 to 14lbs) and large (to fit a baby from 13 to 35lbs).
Once you have finished with the small size, you may return it and exchange it for the large size at no extra cost.
Returned nappies will be laundered and sanitised ready for use by another family. The nappies and covers remain the property of East Sussex County Council Council and must be returned at the end of the loan period.
